_Great Story_ _l did a similar 'crazy' thing in 1982 after owning my first 1975 VW SuperBug for about 9 months!_ l put it away in late '82 and only drove it to car shows, including once to Sydney where it was beaten by Graham Lees [ Beetle Wreckers] brand new Red Brazilian Beetle!!! _It was purchased from the 65 year old owner in February of '82 when she offered it for sale after her second Husband asked her to sell it as the 200B Datsun would be their keeper!_ _Of course, the Datsun was HIS car!!!_ _Spent the better part of 30 minutes with her trying to pursuade her NOT TO SELL_ That VW went on to win 'The Day Of The Volkswagen' 1982, 83, 84, 85 and finally in 1986. I don't believe there is another VW in the World that has Won Outright that many years in a row____it is in l think the forth private collection since l sold it in the 1990s

Hey its no secret that you remove less with wet sanding because the sanding disk is hard a buff will go intothe scratch and make it deeper because with a rigid sanding disk you are gliding over the scratch

What he dosent understand is when you get a deep scratch you have already compromised the protection so replace the clear coat and wet sand then compound

I don't know why people don't cut and polish before the clear coat. It makes a huge difference at the end. You can't miss this step.

What do you do for drainage? I'd love to set up a perminant car wash and detail bay, but I don't want to be washing all the chemicals into the storm sewer and waterways. Is there something I can do to clean the water coming off my cars before entering the city's drainage system?
